Alex Thorn: CLARITY bill advanced to full Senate vote stage
Galaxy research director Alex Thorn posted on X platform that the US Senate Banking Committee passed the CLARITY bill with a 15-9 vote, pushing it into the full Senate voting stage. The follow-up schedule may be: coordinating the bill version on June 1st, debating the entire Senate on June 15th, completing the vote on June 22nd, coordinating the two houses of Congress on July 13th, and signing it into law by President Trump in early August (if proceeding as planned). He pointed out that the Democratic Party is concerned about restricting the digital asset holdings of senior officials and their family members, while DeFi and blockchain regulatory bills are still under negotiation.
