According to Bits.media, Ekaterina Lozgacheva, Director of the Strategic Development Department of the Russian Central Bank, stated that the bank plans to ban citizens from trading on cryptocurrency exchanges that comply with international sanctions. Russians can only trade cryptocurrencies on foreign platforms that do not comply with international sanctions through Russian brokers, and the relevant platform standards will be formulated by the central bank. The annual limit for non professional investors to purchase cryptocurrencies is 300000 rubles, and they are only allowed to obtain the most liquid cryptocurrency assets through domestic brokers. They must pass a test before trading. The main terms are expected to take effect on July 1st.
