Spain blocks access to Polymarket and Kalshi

The Spanish Ministry of Consumer Affairs has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Polymarket and Kalshi for providing predictive market services without a license and for blocking user access. The official stated that the lockdown measures will remain in effect during the trial period of the case, and the process is expected to take three to four months. According to regulatory documents, due to the inability to contact the company through an overseas address, an announcement was ultimately issued and lockdown measures were taken.
