Haseeb Qureshi: Zcash vulnerability fix has limited impact on privacy holders

--

According to Haseeb Qureshi, Managing Partner of Dragonfly, if the Zcash vulnerability is exploited before it is fixed, attackers need to quickly sell counterfeit privacy ZECs. However, since the main market transactions are transparent ZECs, attackers need to first remove the privacy status. The transparent ZEC part is visible, and ZEC exceeding the supply limit will be prevented from being transferred out, and the loss will be borne by the privacy holder. He stated that the team will deploy a new privacy pool during the upgrade to confirm that it has not been inflated. Currently, only 1% of the privacy pool has been released from privacy status, indicating that privacy holders are not concerned about vulnerabilities being exploited.
