SBF invests client funds in Anthropic, with a current value of $77.2 billion

As SBF submitted its pardon application to US President Trump today, its AI company Anthropic, which it had invested in with client funds, is now valued at $965 billion. In April 2022, SBF led a $500 million investment in Anthropic Series B through Alameda Research, acquiring approximately 8% equity. At that time, the company was valued at only $2.5 billion. After the FTX explosion, the bankruptcy liquidation party sold the equity for $1.3 billion. In May 2026, Anthropic completed a $65 billion Series H financing, raising its valuation to $965 billion. Based on this calculation, the current value of SBF's holdings that year was approximately $77.2 billion, nearly 10 times FTX's $8 billion funding gap.
