According to The Wall Street Journal, Kalshi plans to require users involved in sensitive forecasting markets to submit employer information to prevent insider trading and market manipulation. Users involved in the company's performance and national security markets are required to fill out an online form to indicate their employer. Kalshi usually does not verify information and only requests employment certificates and initiates investigations when suspicious activities are discovered. The report states that in the first quarter of 2026, Kalshi has submitted over 20 reports to the CFTC and the Department of Justice, involving former Congressman George Santos and accounts related to military spouses, some of which are suspected of using non-public information to place bets.
