Lin Jian: China firmly opposes the United States imposing sanctions on nine individuals and entities from China and Hong Kong

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian responded to the sanctions announced by the U.S. Treasury this week at a regular press conference, stating that China firmly opposes illegal unilateral sanctions without international legal basis and authorization from the UN Security Council, and will take all necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies and citizens.
