The US Congress plans to rebuild the Department of Justice's cryptocurrency theft working group to coordinate efforts to combat related crimes

According to CryptoSlate, US Congressman Lance Gooden and Josh Gottheimer have proposed a new bill to establish a federal cryptocurrency theft task force within the Department of Justice, responsible for coordinating investigations and prosecutions of cryptocurrency theft, hacker attacks, and fraud cases. The responsibilities of this working group include developing best practices for evidence collection and asset tracing, providing technical assistance and training to state and local law enforcement agencies, and coordinating international cross-border case cooperation.
