SpaceX's options trading is active and has become a popular target in the US stock market

--

SpaceX options became one of the most actively traded options in the US market on Tuesday, pushing SpaceX up 17% in early trading on its third trading day. As of 10:35 am New York time, SpaceX's options trading volume has exceeded 600000 contracts, making it the third largest option trading target for companies in the United States. Chris Murphy, Co Head of Derivatives Strategy at Susquehanna International, stated that option volatility is skewed upwards, and investors are willing to pay higher prices to participate in the bearish market after listing. The three-month implied volatility reached 110% to 115% in early trading. The most actively traded option contract is the call option that expires on Thursday with an exercise price of $220, with a trading volume of 25000 shares, corresponding to 2.5 million stocks. Optiver's head of single stock options in the United States, Jake Taylor, stated that given the high level of investor interest, both institutional and retail investors will actively participate, and market trading activity and volatility will remain high.
