Xuan Changneng, Deputy Governor of the People's Bank of China, stated that by 2025, the number of money laundering convictions under Article 191 of the Criminal Law nationwide will exceed 2,000 cases. Since 2022, the People's Bank of China has intensified efforts to combat professional money laundering, virtual currency money laundering, and cross-border money laundering activities.
