According to Golden Ten Data, Danske Bank analysts Kirstine Kundby Nielsen and Jens Peter Sorensen expect the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates twice in December 2026 and March 2027, bringing the federal funds rate to 4.00% -4.25%, and point out the risk of earlier and more than two rate hikes. Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Walsh signaled at the first meeting that the Fed is abandoning the use of forward guidance and leaning towards greater discretion in future policy decisions.
