[Ripple Launches XRPL Lending Protocol, Aiming to Bring Institutional-Grade Credit Infrastructure On-Chain]
Ripple has launched the XRPL Lending Protocol to provide lending and credit infrastructure for on-chain assets. The protocol adopts an off-chain credit assessment and on-chain standardized execution design, consisting of a single-asset vault and a lending protocol. It is used to organize liquidity and facilitate loan issuance, interest calculation, repayment, and default handling according to agreed terms. Ripple stated that this solution is targeted at institutional use cases, supporting financing activities around on-chain assets such as stablecoins, government bonds, and money market funds. Currently, the related proposals, XLS-65 and XLS-66, still require approval from validators.
