China and the European Union have officially launched a trade and investment consultation mechanism, covering areas such as export controls and intellectual property rights

Chinese Minister of Commerce Raimondo and EU Trade and Economic Security Commissioner Shevchovic co chaired the first meeting, officially launching the China EU Trade and Investment Consultation Mechanism. This mechanism includes four working groups on trade and investment balance, export control, intellectual property, and WTO affairs, and establishes a joint monitoring mechanism. Both sides exchanged market access lists, agreed to address mutual concerns in stages, and reached an agreement on strengthening export control dialogue, intellectual property rights, and WTO cooperation, requiring the joint team to deliver practical results before the next meeting.
