Dutch prosecutors apply to declare cryptocurrency platform Knaken bankrupt
The Dutch public prosecutor's office requests the Rotterdam court to declare the bankruptcy of the cryptocurrency platform Knaken Cryptohandel and its affiliated entity Stichting Knaken Payments, citing public interest. Knaken has been offline since early June, with approximately 30000 customers unable to access funds. Knaken has not obtained permission from the Dutch market regulator AFM. The Fiscal Information and Investigation Service is conducting a criminal investigation and searched relevant locations on Monday, seizing laptops, mobile phones, and company assets. Currently, no one has been arrested. (Decrypt)
