Greece has released a draft bill proposing to lower the capital gains tax rate for personal cryptocurrencies to 10% and set an annual tax exemption of 500 euros. Direct exchange between cryptocurrencies is not subject to taxation, while pledged or borrowed income is taxed at a 10% interest rate. The draft establishes a 12-month window period, allowing the declaration of past earnings to be exempted from punishment, and includes cryptocurrency purchases in the category of asset proof of presumed income.
