The People's Bank of China and three other departments are publicly soliciting opinions on the draft Measures for the Administration of Cybersecurity in the Financial Industry

The People's Bank of China, the State Administration of Financial Supervision and Administration, and the China Securities Regulatory Commission jointly issued the "Financial Industry Network Security Management Measures (Draft for Comments)" and publicly solicited opinions from the society. The deadline is August 3, 2026. The draft for soliciting opinions clarifies that financial institutions are primarily responsible for their own network security, requiring the implementation of level protection, strengthened network operation monitoring, data classification and grading, and personal information protection, and the use of commercial passwords to ensure the security of networks and critical information infrastructure.
