A Qatar LNG transport ship was attacked near the coast of Oman, and a fire broke out on board

On July 7th, an LNG transport ship owned by Nakilat was hit by a projectile near the coast of Oman, causing a fire on board. The alert issued by EOS Risk Group categorizes the event as a drone or missile attack. Ship tracking data shows that the Al Rekayyat did not activate the transponder at the time of the incident. The UK Maritime Trade Action Office has issued an alert, and Qatar Energy and Nakilat have not responded to requests for comment.
