Michael Coates appointed as Chief Information Security Officer of Solana Foundation

Michael Coates announced in a post on X platform that he has been appointed as the Chief Information Security Officer of Solana Foundation. Michael Coates has previously served as the Mozilla Security Director, Twitter CISO, and founded Altitude Networks. Michael Coates said he joined Solana because the daily stablecoin trading volume of the chain reaches tens of billions of dollars. His future work will focus on integrating security capabilities into industry operations and application security foundations, addressing the unique security challenges of cryptocurrencies, and working with policy makers and standard agencies to promote improved cybersecurity regulation.
