Joshua Achiam: Resignation from OpenAI, will drive the mission of safe AGI outside the laboratory

OpenAI Chief Futurist Joshua Achiam announced his resignation, with the 24th of this month being his last day. Joshua Achiam stated that there is no specific reason for his resignation and believes that he can continue to promote the mission of safe AGI beyond the cutting-edge laboratory. Joshua Achiam joined OpenAI in 2017 and served as the head of the Mission Alignment team. In February of this year, he was transferred to the position of Chief Futurist. OpenAI has not yet announced a successor candidate.
