On July 9th, the Ethereum Foundation (EF) announced the official dissolution of the Protocol Support team, sparking widespread attention in the cryptocurrency community.
This team is mainly responsible for protocol coordination, EIP promotion, core developer meetings, and EPF plans, and is not a core development team. This adjustment is part of EF's organizational restructuring. The foundation has previously announced:

Why disband?
EF hopes to shift from a "manager" to a "guardian", reduce centralized coordination, and allow more development work to be jointly driven by the community, research institutions, and developers, further practicing Ethereum's decentralized concept.
