[Russian Man Kidnapped in Bali for 30 Hours, Forced to Surrender Crypto Asset Account Password]
According to Bali Discovery, a 41-year-old Russian man was kidnapped in Bali's South Kuta area on the evening of July 2 and held captive for approximately 30 hours. Under physical assault and coercion, he was forced to surrender the password to his crypto asset account. The kidnappers took the victim's phone and the keys to his rented residence, entered his home, and seized another phone to access the crypto asset account. The victim was abandoned near Udayana University Hospital in Jimbaran in the early hours of July 4 and received medical treatment. Bali police are currently tracking the vehicle involved, CCTV footage, and electronic traces from the phones, but have not disclosed the amount of loss from the crypto account.
