Today, cash-cat:native dropped to a low of 150M, and its contract on Hyperliquid even flash-crashed to 80M, leading to a collective pullback of the Meme tokens on the Robinhood chain. Looking back at similar RH market trends, two previous public chain Meme booms come to mind as strong references. The first was in late August 2024 on Tron, led by Sundog, which peaked near 400M and spawned a batch of Meme tokens with peak values between 30M and 50M. Sundog later got listed on HTX, Bybit, and other exchanges, but it never made it to the top-tier exchanges. About a month later, it began a slow decline, and the lifespans of the other Meme tokens were even shorter. The second was the Base rally from late 2024 to early 2025. It started with a flourishing wave led by Brett, peaking at 2.3B and driving a batch of Meme tokens past the 100M mark, such as Keycat and Miggles. After a month-long pullback, the market reignited in mid-January with news of Toshi entering the Coinbase Roadmap, pushing the peak to 960M. Many ecosystem tokens also rebounded 3–5x from their lows, with the entire rally lasting nearly three months. Comparing these, I think the RH chain rally has a better chance of following Base’s trajectory. First, both have top-tier exchanges—Robinhood and Coinbase, respectively—as their backers and potential listing channels. The recent frequent interactions between Sol’s official team and Robinhood highlight the importance of this factor. Second, while Base had not only Meme tokens but also Degen and Farcaster ecosystem application tokens, RH now has application tokens like Arrow and VEX, which are tied to RWA and AI Agent themes. A broader range of themes could mean a longer lifespan for the ecosystem. The most critical factor right now is the performance of cash-cat:native. If it can rebound after each pullback and maintain the expectation of a Robinhood listing until it successfully gets listed, the entire ecosystem will continue to have opportunities. After today’s pullback, the second-largest Meme token by market cap is hoodrat-4:native. As a character created by Matt Furie, Pepe-themed tokens are almost a staple in every new chain’s Meme rally. I’ll be closely watching the performance of these two tokens as potential options for building positions and buying the dip on the RH chain.
