At the peak of LAB prices, the book value of these allocated shares was once close to $977 million, and their current value is about $4 million. Specter stated that the entity is actively selling and causing prices to continue to decline. LAB prices were once manipulated to rise, ultimately becoming a typical case of driving up shipments.
