The US Department of Defense estimates the cost of the war with Iran to be as high as $100 billion

The internal assessment of the US Department of Defense shows that the cost of the war with Iran is between $80 billion and $100 billion, which is three times higher than the previous estimate of $30 billion. The Pentagon is seeking $68 billion in supplementary budget appropriations to sustain operations until this fall, when Congress will review a new budget proposal worth $1.5 trillion.
