The French National Assembly has passed an amendment requiring taxpayers to declare self-custodied crypto assets worth at least €100,000 to the tax authorities. The amendment passed with 150 votes in favor, 44 against, and 8 abstentions. The declared asset value is based on December 31st of the relevant tax year. This reporting requirement falls under the 2027 Finance Bill and must remain in the final legislation to take effect. The French National Assembly must complete the first reading of the bill by November 17, and the Senate debate is scheduled to begin on November 20.

Arkham's monitoring shows that the transit wallets associated with the Mercado Bitcoin hack have exchanged the stolen tokens for $10.55 million worth of ETH. A transaction attempting to convert approximately $650,000 worth of assets into BTC via Bridgers has been intercepted. The entity identified as the hacker currently holds approximately $31.23 million in assets.
