According to Cointelegraph, multiple banks and regulatory agencies have jointly launched the world's first quantum-resistant crypto asset transfer pilot, utilizing the U.S. NIST post-quantum cryptography standards. The pilot tests digital asset custody and transfers on a quantum-resistant test network to address threats posed by quantum computing. Participating institutions include Bison Bank, DK Bank, and regulatory agencies from Abu Dhabi, Bhutan, Malta, among others. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority has mandated the banking sector to complete quantum-safe migration by 2030.
