On July 15th, the US International Trade Commission decided to initiate a 337 investigation into specific Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) devices and their downstream products and components, involving companies such as Samsung Electronics, Google, Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom. As a result, Nvidia fell more than 2%, while Broadcom and AMD fell nearly 4%. Netlist, Inc. of Irvine, California filed a 337 investigation application with the United States International Trade Commission on June 16, claiming that the related products infringed on its US registered patent numbers 12646537 and 12650937, and requesting the issuance of limited exclusion orders and injunctions.
