American man steals $220000 in encrypted assets by implanting malware into Steam game
Federal prosecutors in the United States have sued 21-year-old Florida man Zyaire Wilkins, accusing him of implanting malicious software into eight games including BlockBlasters, Chemia, Dashverse, DashFPS, Lampy, Lunara, PirateFi, and Tokenova between May 2024 and February 2026, and spreading it through Steam, resulting in approximately 8000 devices being infected and about 80 encrypted wallets being stolen, with a total amount involved exceeding $220000. The FBI has identified the suspect's identity through on chain fund flows and Bitrefill gift card purchase records, and the case has been filed in the Federal District Court for the Western District of Washington in the United States.
