South Korean financial regulatory agency launches sanctions against Upbit operator Dunamu

According to Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean financial regulatory agency has issued an investigation report and initiated sanctions against Upbit's operator Dunamu, which suffered a 44.5 billion Korean won hacking attack. The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) is investigating whether there have been any violations of the Virtual Asset User Protection Law, and the outcome of the sanctions is still uncertain. The Financial Supervisory Administration plans to notify the sanction opinion letter after the company provides an explanation, and the final sanction measures will be determined by the Sanctions Review Committee, Securities and Futures Commission, and Financial Services Commission.
