Meritz Securities: Server DRAM spot prices soar, with a premium of 146%

--

According to a research report by Meritz Securities, the spot price of server DRAM has risen to $3100, a 146% premium over the contract price of $1380 at the end of June. The main driving factors are the demand for sovereign AI projects such as Saudi Arabia, the testing demand for new AI data centers, and tight supplier supply. Meritz Securities believes that the current market is similar to the server order grabbing situation in January, and predicts that the increase in contract prices after the hyperscalers' financial report will drive the rebound of memory stocks.
