Celsius's two co founders pay over $6 million settlement to FTC

--

Celsius co-founder Shlomi Daniel Leon and Hanoch "Nuke" Goldstein have been asked to pay over $6 million to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to settle allegations of misleading platform security. US District Judge Denise Cote ordered Hanoch "Nuke" Goldstein to pay $2.014 million and Shlomi Daniel Leon to pay $4.1 million. FTC accuses Celsius of false advertising of reserve, insurance, and loan policies. Celsius once held assets of $25 million and owed users $470 million when filing for bankruptcy. The relevant command prohibits two individuals from marketing or selling specific cryptocurrency products or services.
