An era has truly come to an end. Old Black @CryptoHayes and BitMEX @BitMEX have announced the closure of the exchange on September 23, with new user registrations stopping immediately. 11 years, just like that, over. Many newcomers might not have even heard of it. At first glance, it might seem like a sketchy exchange, but it was during the March 12, 2020 outage (pulling the plug for maintenance) that it held the $BTC $3,000 level. Even SBF said that if BitMEX hadn’t gone offline, Bitcoin’s price might have hit zero. Although the exchange is shutting down now, the legendary trader Old Black @CryptoHayes is still around and will continue calling trades to help everyone make money!
