Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeny held exploratory talks during his visit to Islamabad this week, marking his second visit in the past 10 days. According to a statement from the Pakistani government, Eskandar Momeny, who is considered to have close ties with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, met with Pakistani government leaders and military leaders Asim Munir this week. These three sources have all warned that obstacles to negotiations with the United States remain high.
