Sao Paulo prosecutor sues World developer, seeking compensation of approximately $47.2 million

The prosecutor's office in S ã o Paulo, Brazil, has filed a civil lawsuit against World developer Tools for Humanity and Amazon AWS Servi ç os Brazil, accusing them of illegally collecting iris data from over 400000 people in S ã o Paulo. The prosecutor claimed that participants received rewards ranging from 300 to 700 Brazilian reals through iris scanning, and demanded a suspension of payments or other benefits in exchange for iris data, permanent deletion of collected information, and payment of at least 240 million Brazilian reals (approximately 47.2 million US dollars) in collective mental damages compensation.
