WEMIX has released a security incident update stating that on July 26th, ownership of two smart contracts was transferred to an unauthorized third party. The attacker deployed malicious contracts and executed nine rounds of lightning loans and swaps, resulting in the illegal issuance of 522.55249997 million WEMIX dollars. This incident is not an internal system intrusion or private key leakage, but rather caused by the attacker exploiting vulnerabilities in the publicly available DIOS and AMA smart contracts on the chain.
