Circle has been granted a limited purpose trust license by the New York State Department of Financial Services

Circle announced that the New York State Department of Financial Services has granted a limited purpose trust license to its subsidiary, Circle Internet Trust Company LLC. Jeremy Allaire, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Circle, stated that obtaining a New York trust license is the company's long-term goal, and the regulatory clarity brought by the license places USDC within a recognized regulatory framework.
