The three are accused of being hired in August 2024 to travel to Connecticut with the intent to kidnap an individual who had previously been involved in the theft of $100 million worth of Bitcoin, along with the individual's parents, to coerce them into transferring cryptocurrency. The trio reportedly abandoned the plan due to concerns about being caught on surveillance, after which another group from Florida carried out the actual kidnapping. All three have appeared in court and pleaded not guilty.
