Triple long semiconductor ETF Direxion (SOXL) attracted a total net inflow of $7 billion in the first two weeks of July and August. As of August 24th, SOXL was reported at $111.16, a pullback of over 60% from its high of $302. This ETF tracks the New York Stock Exchange Semiconductor Index, with constituent stocks including Nvidia, Micron Technology, AMD, and Broadcom. A survey by Bank of America shows that 53% of respondents choose to go long on global semiconductors. Fidelity warns that the semiconductor profit cycle is approaching its peak, Goldman Sachs has raised its global wafer fab equipment spending forecast for 2026-2028 to $150 billion, $218 billion, and $281 billion, while JPMorgan maintains a bullish view.
