Research shows that the proportion of cryptocurrency holders in the United States reporting transactions is between 32% and 56%
According to CNBC, a research report published in March by the academic journal Accounting Research Review estimated that only 32% to 56% of US cryptocurrency holders reported transactions to the federal government. Accountants say that calculating taxes on digital asset transactions is more complex than traditional financial assets such as stocks and bonds.
