According to The Kobeissi Letter, retail investors in South Korea bought $4.6 billion worth of US stocks in July, a month on month increase of 627% and the highest monthly buying amount since January 2026. The net selling amount of Korean retail investors in April and May was $469 million and $940 million, respectively. The scale of purchases in July exceeded the monthly average of 2.7 billion US dollars in 2025. The amount of US stocks purchased by Korean retail investors in 2025 will increase by more than three times compared to 2024. Korean retail investors purchased more US stocks in July than they did domestic stocks for the first time since February.
