[Bifrost Exploited by Hacker Through Liquidity Pool Vulnerability, Approximately $720,000 Stolen] Bifrost tweeted that on August 8 at 19:47 (UTC+8), a hacker exploited a vulnerability in the liquidity pool to steal approximately 881,150 DOT (valued at around $720,000 at the time) from the vDOT single-token pool as well as the vASTR/ASTR and vMANTA/MANTA pools. The stolen assets were subsequently deposited into HitBTC and eventually flowed into Binance. Bifrost emphasized that the top priority is to recover the assets. Formal requests for freezing and recovery have been submitted to the relevant exchanges, and they are directly cooperating with compliance and security teams, as well as assisting law enforcement authorities. Currently, Bifrost has suspended all liquidity mining rewards and is conducting a comprehensive security review. Additionally, vDOT remains fully backed 1:1 and is unaffected by this incident.
