Mastercard has completed the acquisition of stablecoin infrastructure company BVNK for a transaction amount of $1.8 billion. Concentric's founding partner Kjartan Rist stated that Concentric invested in BVNK at a valuation of $4 million in 2019. During the acquisition process, Coinbase proposed a maximum offer of $2.5 billion, and Visa also participated in the competition. BVNK ultimately chose to reach a deal with Mastercard. Stripe previously acquired stablecoin infrastructure company Bridge for $1.1 billion. At present, the global market value of stablecoins is about 300 billion US dollars. BVNK provides stable currency payment and fund management infrastructure for enterprises.
