Nvidia invests $1.5 billion in SB Energy, with Groq valued at $3.5 billion

Nvidia has invested $1.5 billion in SB Energy, a subsidiary of SoftBank, to support its 20-year data center leasing project with OpenAI, which has a total capacity of 8 IT gigawatts. Nvidia provides credit support for the first 4.25 IT gigawatts phase of the project and reserves the option to add 3.75 IT gigawatts of production capacity. The Ports Pike project has established a $80 million community fund, and OpenAI has contributed $40 million to the community welfare fund. Groq's valuation in the new round of financing has reached $3.5 billion.
