QCP Group: Long end interest rates and short covering of perpetual contracts drive BTC up

--

QCP Group analysis pointed out that BTC rose from about $64000 to nearly $76000 in four trading days, during which the yield of the 30-year treasury bond bond once hit a high of about 5.33% since 2007. The US Treasury Department announced that the size of a single liquidity repurchase of long-term treasury bond bonds had increased from a maximum of $2 billion to at least $4 billion since September 9. QCP stated that the initial breakthrough in this round was mainly driven by short covering of perpetual contracts. On Wednesday, perpetual buying was about 15 times that of spot buying, while open interest contracts remained largely unchanged. Subsequently, leverage re accumulated as prices continued to rise on Thursday. On Wednesday, the US spot BTC ETF saw a net inflow of $517 million in a single day, reaching a new high since May. The perpetual funding rate has fallen from its high, and there has been no corresponding correction in BTC prices. The implied volatility of options has significantly increased.
