Sometimes we make unnecessary moves, and many traders tend to make this mistake. Some traders, once they mess up, refuse to cut their losses and stubbornly hold on. I’m one of those people. When it’s time to run, I run. After my long $ETH position hit the first take-profit target, I decided to exit. Then I felt like this range was pretty much done, so I thought I’d try opening a short position to test the waters—felt like it was about time. But a lot of those attempts to catch the top end up becoming fuel for a breakout in the opposite direction. So, some trades shouldn’t be based on gut feelings.
