The Brazilian central bank has partnered with Hypernative to develop a cryptocurrency threat warning system, providing attack identification, response, and fund tracking support for banks and cryptocurrency exchanges. In July 2025, cybercriminals used a C&M software vulnerability to steal $180 million, which prompted the Brazilian central bank to accelerate system construction. According to Bitcoin.com News, Regina Pedroso, Executive Director of ABToken, stated that the system will be integrated in the next two weeks, with Foxbit and Mercado Bitcoin participating in the implementation. Brazil will also implement 24-hour preventive detention measures for cryptocurrency transfers exceeding $10000 in a single or cumulative day.
