According to a16z crypto analysis, one-fifth of Argentina's population uses cryptocurrency, making it one of the countries with the highest usage rates in Latin America. 94% of Argentine peso cryptocurrency transactions flow to stablecoins, the highest among the major currencies tracked by Artemis. Although the monthly inflation rate in Argentina has dropped from 25.5% to 2.1%, the download volume of mainstream cryptocurrency wallets such as Lemon continues to grow, and the use of stablecoins for salaries tends to stabilize. As of July 2026, the proportion of payments received by Argentine contract workers in USDC and inflation indicators are both at about one-fifth of their respective peaks.
