According to Token Terminal data, the supply of euro stablecoins reached $848.1 million on September 7, marking a year-to-date growth of approximately 22.6%, with a net increase of about $156 million. During the same period, USD stablecoins only saw an increase of around $159 million, with a base supply of $298.5 billion. EURC and EURCV together account for 82% of the euro stablecoin supply, with EURCV issued by SG-Forge, the digital asset subsidiary of Société Générale, making up 19.6%.
On Ethereum, euro stablecoins grew by approximately $125 million this year, capturing a market share of 69.4%. On Solana, the increase was about $30 million, with a market share of 14.7%. Meanwhile, Base's supply dropped from $73.9 million to $58.7 million. The growth of euro stablecoins has been driven by issuers' supply, while liquidity for euro trading pairs in DeFi lending pools and perpetual contracts remains weak. (Source: Cryptopolitan)
