The U.S. Treasury Department's OFAC has designated Xinbi as a major transnational criminal organization and imposed sanctions. Furthermore, law enforcement dismantled 13 scam centers in Madagascar, arresting nearly 400 individuals. According to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center, cryptocurrency investment scams are projected to cause U.S. victims losses of $8.65 billion by 2025.
