Vitalik Buterin: EIP-8288 proposal aims to reduce quantum security transaction costs
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin proposed EIP-8288, suggesting that it be included in the I-star upgrade to reduce on chain computing and data costs through recursive STARK memory pools. This scheme supports low-cost quantum secure signatures and privacy protocols, and the cost of quantum secure privacy transactions is expected to decrease from about 10 million Gas to tens of thousands of Gas. It is also compatible with signature schemes such as Falcon and ML-DSA, as well as private account abstractions.
